Our Staff

Budadee employs Aboriginal Field Supervisors based in Port Hedland, Yandeyarra, Nullagine and Marble Bar. Our staff are experienced operators in delivering services to pastoral, local government and mining industries in Western Australia. For the past 20-30 years our Field Supervisors have managed the government’s Community Development Program (CDP) across the shires of East Pilbara and Town of Port Hedland; operated heavy machinery for Main Roads and major construction projects; and engaged with stations across the Pilbara to deliver mustering and pastoral activities. Budadee ensures that staff have the appropriate certifications in first aid, 4WD operations and other required permits for each contract.

Each Field Supervisor also holds years of experience in leading cultural heritage surveys and are custodians for traditional law and custom across Palyku and Kariyarra country in the Pilbara. Cultural relations with Martu, Njamal, Nyiyaparli and Ngarla traditional owners also ensure that our field supervisors carry out their work in adherence to cultural protocols across the Pilbara.

Our organisational capacity is currently supplemented by strategic partnerships that provide ongoing development and support. It is anticipated that Budadee’s reliance on these will reduce over time as the organisation expands.

Our partnerships enable our staff to work alongside environmental and heritage specialists operating under appropriate permits and licences to carry out land management activities in remote areas. This includes first aid, 4WD, pest management, chemical weed control, 1080 animal baiting, reptile and fauna handling, firearms, animal micro-chipping, fire management and other necessary certifications.
