Budadee’s cultural leadership program aims to support the ongoing transference of leadership skills to the next generation of traditional custodians.Elders have identified that there is an urgent need to pass on knowledge of places and empower Budadee land managers to build confidence and the cultural authority to manage heritage assets into the future.

Our program involves engaging elders across several traditional owner groups with Budadee field supervisors and officers to visit heritage places within the Woodstock-Abydos Indigenous Protected Area. This will enable elders to share important information, songs and stories which will assist in the development of a program of management for the area.
